2018 4-Day Aiki Sword Intensive in Seattle Area

George Ledyard Sensei, Aikido 7th Dan and direct student of Mitsugi Saotome Shihan

This four day block of instruction will focus on the aiki sword work of Mitsugi Saotome Shihan. We will cover the 12 Kumitachi of Saotome Sensei that are required for testing up to Nidan in detail. Also, we will provide principle based instruction on Saotome Sensei’s Two Attacker Forms, his Two Sword Forms, and we will also do daily work with the shinai (bamboo swords).

This is a unique training event. It is open to any student of Aikido who has solid basic sword skills but it is instructor level content. It is particularly geared to help dojo-cho and instructors teaching sword at their dojos take their skills up several levels. It is intensive work. If anyone feels that this wasn’t the best sword training they’ve had, I will refund their registration fee. All affiliations are welcome.
